Meet the Team

Counsellor / Supervisor
MDiv, MA, CPC, CCC, CCS · Canadian Certified Counsellor / Supervisor
Tanya has been working with individuals and couples for almost 20 years. She brings a great deal of experience and expertise in working with those experiencing anxiety, depression (including post-partum depression), grief and loss, life transitions, stress, woundedness, and relationship challenges.
Tanya's education and approach are based in client-centred, non-judgemental therapy and modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy, and is addiction- and trauma-informed. Faith-informed counselling involving spiritual beliefs and values is also available, if requested.
Helping clients to feel safe, supported, valued and understood is key to a successful therapeutic relationship. As a life-long student, new research, proven techniques and skills are being implemented regularly.

Counsellor

Rebecca Bowers is a counsellor with over 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, young adults, and families through various non-profit work. Her background includes work in ministry, community-based employment, as well as mental health & addiction services, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges people face throughout different stages of life.
Rebecca is committed to creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients build resilience, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.
Rebecca has a special passion for supporting parents through evidence-based parenting strategies and workshops that strengthen parent-child relationships and build confidence in caregiving. She also provides ADHD psychoeducation, helping individuals and families better understand ADHD while developing practical, strengths-based coping strategies.

Counselling Intern

Jerry comes with over 25 years working alongside individuals and families in various supportive and leadership roles. He takes an integrative approach that centres your needs, your pace, and your perspective, offering a balanced, steady, and comfortable therapeutic process that meets you where you are. His experience and education is focused on clients who struggle with issues related to anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma related issues and conflict.
Jerry takes an integrative approach to therapy that is informed by the most current education and training from the following counselling modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems & Group Therapy, Dialectical and Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution and Brief Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment-Based Therapy. The foundation of his therapeutic stance is Person-Centred, grounded in respect, collaboration, and a culturally informed curiosity that honours your unique lived experiences.
Jerry is guided by the belief that therapy should play a meaningful and beneficial role in helping you grow into the best version of yourself. Sessions explore what you are truly struggling with and are focused on supporting you in moving toward the changes you want to make.
